SummaWork was founded on a simple but deeply held belief: that the most complex challenges organizations face, whether in performance, culture, or transformation, are ultimately human challenges. And that addressing them well requires both the systems lens and the human one.
We are a small, intentional practice. We don't take on everything. We work with leaders and organizations where we believe we can create genuine, lasting impact, and we bring our full attention when we do.

Maria works at the intersection of leadership, human behavior, and organizational systems, helping leaders and teams see the patterns shaping how they lead, and creating the conditions for real, lasting change.
Her path to this work is not a straight line. Over 18 years she has led large-scale transformation efforts inside some of the most complex healthcare environments in the country, from Kaiser Permanente, where she facilitated Lean-based performance improvement across multiple facilities and led the planning and operations of the first drive-through COVID vaccination clinic in Northern California, to the Public Health Institute at Denver Health, where she led strategic planning, quality improvement, and leadership capacity building across clinical and community programs.
What she learned across those years is what now drives her work: sustainable results don't come from better frameworks alone. They come from how leaders think, how they relate, and how they show up, especially under pressure. That insight is the foundation of everything SummaWork does.
In 2025, Maria completed a Master's in Bioneuroemotion at the Enric Corbera Institute in Barcelona, a two-year deep exploration of how emotional patterns, family systems, and personal perception shape the way we experience life and relate to others. That training now informs her facilitation, her coaching, and her understanding of what real transformation requires.
She holds a B.S. in Economics from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, a Master's in Public Affairs from Indiana University, and a Master's in Public Health from UC Berkeley.
Maria is bilingual in English and Spanish, based in Erie, Colorado, and works with leaders and organizations across the United States.
When she is not working with leaders, she is usually running, cycling, hiking, or somewhere in the mountains, which happen to be visible from her front door.

Enrique is passionate about helping businesses accelerate their technology journeys through an entrepreneurial, results-driven approach.
With over 20 years of experience leading enterprise technology initiatives across corporate functions, finance, logistics, supply chain, ERP systems, API integration, and digital transformations, Enrique has built a career on solving complex problems with a practical approach, while developing the people and teams doing the work alongside him.
What drives him is straightforward: working side by side with clients to accelerate innovation while making sure every dollar invested in technology is working toward meaningful outcomes. You can expect direct partnership, creative problem-solving, and a relentless focus on delivering value.
Enrique and Maria share a belief that the most important factor in any large-scale change, whether a technology implementation or a cultural transformation, is the quality of leadership and human dynamics driving it. That shared conviction is at the heart of SummaWork.

We believe that how you show up in your work is inseparable from how you show up in your life. That conviction isn't just something we say to clients, it's something we live.
Between the two of us, you'll find someone training for a marathon or out on a long trail ride, and someone deep in a book about systems, technology, or the next frontier of human potential. We push ourselves physically and intellectually because we know from experience that growth in one area feeds the other.
That's the environment SummaWork comes from. And it's the kind of environment we try to help our clients create.
